Navy Seals capture most wanted terrorist - get arrested for assault

First we had Congressman John Murtha accusing US Marines of atrocities in Haditha, Iraq - a blatant lie based on false information supplied by the enemy. Those Marines had to face an arduous multi-year trial despite the obvious fabrication of evidence, and it is still not over for some.

Next we have the Obama administration seeking to soothe Muslim fears about "backlash" after a Muslim Major commits the first successful act of terrorism on our soil since 9/11, while they withhold evidence about the case from Congress and do more to suppress than investigate the nature of the attack.

Now we have the spectre of seeing three U.S. Navy SEALs arrested because the terrorist they captured claims he was punched!

" Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

Who is the enemy here? Four SEALs captured Ahmed Hashim Abed, codenamed "Objective Amber" on September 3rd. Abed was the ringleader of the group who ambushed four security contractors in Fallujah in 2004, and hung their burned bodies on a bridge. One of the four, Scott Helvenston, had been a Navy SEAL himself for twelve years.

But now Abed is claiming he got a bloody lip. And the Navy is prosecuting. These people are insane! Give the SEALs a medal for a dangerous, thankless job well done, and suggest that Abed get on his knees and thank God he wasn't captured by someone else.

What I want to see is an investigation of the Navy legal team and the chain of command that ordered and condoned this arrest. This aggressive prosecution of battlefield events, where enemy terrorists are treated as "witnesses" to a "crime" has always looked more like a deliberate strategy to hamstring warriors and thwart battlefield success rather than merely the misguided application of political correctness.

At best these should be considered vindictive prosecutions, but I believe something much more malevolent is at work. I believe the person or persons who find cause here seek to sow doubt, demoralization and bring unbearable stress to bear on front line forces.

Outrage doesn't begin to describe this travesty.

I'm sure this administration will applaud the Navy's efforts to achieve justice for poor Abed. With their superior global awareness, they will surely want these SEALs given a fair trial in an appropriate setting. To demonstrate their evenhandedness to the terrorists, they'll probably choose GITMO.

ONE MONTH TO STOP COURT MARTIAL OF NAVY SEALS!

We have a month. ONE MONTH to stop this madness. We have heard it from military experts, from Congressmen, from Vets, from lawyers for the SEALs: Once the Court Martial begins on January 19th, public pressure will be ignored. The military is famous for disregarding such pressure in the courts.

But these experts have told us one important fact: Public pressure DOES effect whether charges are DROPPED. It has prevailed before, and MUST happen here to halt this indignity against our heroes who captured this terrorist monster in a heroic operation.

WE HAVE ONE MONTH to let the American people know about this outrage. Please help us run TV ads to get the word out to help stop it before January 19.

What Happened

Three brave Navy SEALs who captured the most wanted terrorist in Iraq on September 3rd, 2009 are being charged with assault because that same terrorist--who planned the savage murders of 4 Americans in 2004--claimed they gave him a "bloody lip", despite no physical evidence to support his claim. Two of the SEALs were arraigned on December 7th  (the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, to add insult to injury). The Court Martial has been set for the January 19, 2010.

This same terrorist, Ahmed Hashim Abed, and his followers killed 4 American bodyguards, burning three of them alive, dragged their bodies through the streets, and hung them from a bridge over the Euphrates River. It was a horrific crime. And these SEALs risked life and limb to bring him in after 5 years on the run. Yet now the politically-correct military is prosecuting the very men who captured him, because he said they gave him a BLOODY LIP? Why is the military taking the word of a murdering terrorist over our brave fighting men?

Court Martial. Careers destroyed. Reputations tarnished forever. And all on the word of a murdering terrorist? All for the sake of political correctness? This cannot be permitted to go any further. We must stop this Court Martial before it begins--NOW.

What We are Doing

We are asking for support to help run ads on cable and TV outlets. The national media is NOT reporting this story. We need to target the leaders who can make this disgraceful witchhunt go away: the Congress, the Armed Services Committees, the military brass, and the Administration. Due to mainstream media censorship of this issue, we believe the best way to do this is with TV ads. There is TOO LITTLE TIME for this to build slowly. We have to act FAST to get the word out to millions of Americans, who will be OUTRAGED into action when they see these ads, and flood the marbled offices of Washington with their phone calls, faxes, emails and letters.

But to do this we must get the word out to the American People...PLEASE HELP US RUN OUR AD on national cable TV outlets to help stop this outrage!

Even if you cannot afford to help us run our ads, please use our website's resources to CALL, EMAIL, FAX and write LETTERS to the decision makers in the military, Congress, the Administration, and also on Talk Radio and in the Media. Sign our petition (over 20,000 have so far) which we will deliver to decision makers. Write an Op-Ed piece in your local newspaper. Anything will help get the word out about these men being railroaded for the sake of political correctness! Don't we all owe these brave men a minute of our time to call, email or fax on their behalf?

Imagine what a nightmare this must be for these SEALs and their families. These charges were filed 2 days before Thanksgiving, the arraignment held on Pearl Harbor Day, and now the threat of Court Martial looming over the holiday season. While American families are celebrating this most special time of year, these SEALs and their families must suffer through the stress and humiliation of this needless witchhunt.

This MUST not stand! We can stop it if we get the word out to all Americans. We must not fail these fine men.
