Letter to Glenn Beck "The Rats are Sinking the Ship"
Dear Glenn:
I was born in Cuba and saw what happened there when Castro came down from the mountains, like Moses bringing "hope and change" to the people. Believe it or not Glenn, people replaced the pictures of Christ on their walls with those of Castro in the same pose looking up to the heavens. It was incredibly stupid. There is no difference between Cubans, Germans or Americans, they're all naive and gullible. Glenn, perhaps an analogy could better explain the situation our country is going through. Let’s imagine the mighty USS America as a ship that’s beginning to take in water. The crew finds out that the reason we are taking in water is because rats have been gnawing at the wood in the hull. The crew decides with great concern, that despite the captain’s objections, they will have to do something about the problem lest the ship should sink and they all drown. There are so many carpenters on board, but in view of the gravity of the situation, they are all quickly dispatched to plug up the leak in the hull. In the process of repairing the leak, they discover that more rats have been furiously working at opening other leaks. Some of the carpenters who were sent to repair the original leak are now dispatched to plug up the newly found holes. The original estimate of the number of rats on board the ship was found to be inaccurate. A consensus is reached that there is a severe infestation of rats in the USS America and that they all appear to be hell bent on sinking the ship. I may add that one should not expect rats to be able to reason. Their hatred for the USS America is such that they are unable to realize that should the ship sink they will also drown along with everyone else on board. They are rats for crying out loud! What do you expect from them Glenn?

So the crew finds out that there are far more rodents onboard dedicated to the destruction of the ship than carpenters are available to fix the problem. At this time all sailors are sent to solve the rodent infestation, placing traps, chasing and killing rats but to no avail, there are simply too many of them. Emergency meetings are held in the crews’ quarters unbeknownst to the captain, whom they suspect might be a rat sympathizer ( suspicions about the captain had arise early on in the voyage when he ordered some of the carpenters investigated in regards to their treatment of rats aboard the ship. The captain went as far as to threaten some of the carpenters with walking the plank!), but nevertheless, the crew decides that should they not get involved in taking care of the rat infestation on board, the fate of the USS America is doomed. But rats multiply rapidly, kind of….well, like rats!
This is where we are now Glenn. We the citizens of America are being forced to do the job of saving the country our selves. It’s not really our job but no-one will do it for us. We thought were just supposed to go vote every 2-4 years to elect our representatives who will then go to Washington to fight for us, and that was it! We in turn will stay behind to work hard, raise our children, pay our taxes and make the country prosper. Very simple plan, but sorry, it appears that's not the case any more. Barack Obama have changed all that. We are all now in the extermination business, catching rats! Glenn, we can't afford to stay by the sidelines and allow these radical revolutionaries in Washington destroy our country. These people are like rats in a ship gnawing and destroying everything in sight and they will not stop until they have finally sank our country. Thank you for your great job, and may God bless you and your family and continue to give you the strength and insight you have shown so far in this fight for our country.
